  2. What still lingers in my mind after reading the "Using Technology as a Tool" article, is that students "learn by doing, not by reading the instruction manual or listening to lectures." The Net Generation needs to be "challenged properly"; therefore, I, as a student in this course, appreciate everything I've learned by doing not just reading. Although I've read several times about blogs, I've never used one; I thought it was a hard thing to do, but on the contrary, it's fun and easy to use. Therefore, I decided to use it in class, as a teacher, with my students. I'm totally sure, they will enjoy it more than sticking to one boring way of writing assignments. I will also provide them with topics and give them the freedom to explore and research about these topics to help them become more active students.
Another important thing that I thought was worth mentioning in the lecture was that teachers should ask professionals about the best technological tools to use to teach a specific thing in class, and not the other way round. The more effort we put in preparation, the less time it takes student to grasp the learning goals in class.

  3. The tools presented in the course have been very useful especially ones that enabled me to help the students become engaged in class discussions like Zaption and Canva. My students feel the change I have done in my plans and they appreciate it. Also the programs that facilitate collaboration and group work like Filmora, have added a lot to my school projects. However, I still feel I’m a bit lost when it comes to the part when the students are working on their project (designing a video using Filmora) and start asking me about details like what if the recorded sound file is longer than the video? What if I wanted to play a part without sound? And so on. I feel like I need to perhaps read and explore the tool deeper or listen to support videos on Youtube to be able to answer all of my students’ questions.
